"Pontoon" is an oceanfront cottage with a rooftop balcony with a great view. You can relax on the 2nd floor (140 square meters) and the rooftop balcony (60 square meters). The ocean view living room, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen are all located in one open space. There are two separate bedrooms and a modern Japanese-style room, a bathroom with a bathtub, and well-equipped facilities for a comfortable living.
Location is about 10 minutes from Ishigaki Island city area, you can spare time for your stay plan such as remote island sightseeing, activities and shopping. It is also convenient for groceries. You can also enjoy a comfortable resort life at "Pontoon".
The front coast is a great walking course. Please enjoy an awake walk, “walking”, “shower”, and “breakfast”. There is 2.6km to "Kannondo Lighthouse", but you can go to your favorite pace and turn it back.!

Charcoal fire barbecue stove, gas cartridge type mini grill and hot plate can also be used. If you go up the stairs, a 60m2 rooftop balcony,The sky you look up will entertain you for 24 hours from sunrise to sunset and the night sky.
Modern and traditional Japanese room and comfortable bedroom
"Pontoon" has a modern Japanese tatami room.It is open and bright to the south, and the morning sun shines in “Tokonoma”.This is an important point of the Japanese-style room and you can feel Japanese culture. What you can do in a Japanese-style room is a multi-purpose room for meditation, yoga, eating, studying, etc. What do you want to spend here? Many Japanese lie down and take a nap.
There are two bedrooms next to the Japanese-style room. Each bedroom has single and semi-double beds with duvets, so you can relax and sleep comfortably. And there is a wardrobe that can hold a suitcase in the bedroom, and it can also hold all the suitcases and the luggage in them.

Such a wonderful stay! You must see the view in person to really appreciate it. The spaces are thoughtfully considered, the beds are super comfortable, and I can’t wait to come back. Quite easily the most lovely place to stay in ISHIGAKI.

1月末から4泊しました。フロアーは勿論、各部屋とても過ごしやすい広さに感動、ベッドも寝心地良く快眠でした。自炊しやすいキッチンと、大画面TVやオーディオも充実していて…若かりし頃良く聴いていたCDがあり、BGMを流しながら食事をしたことがとても良い思い出となっています。朝、起きてテラスに出ると目の前に広がる海のさざ波の音が現実逃避させてくれ生命の洗濯をしてきました、洗面所及び浴室、トイレも隅々まで清掃が行き届いていて清潔感満載でした。洗濯機も洗面所に有るため自由に使えて有り難かったです。海辺を散歩したり、テラスでバーベキューしたり充実した5日間でした。又、是非ゆっくり行きたい場所です。

창 밖으로 펼쳐지는 에머랄드빛 바다의 풍경과, 모든 시설이 갖춰진 독채의 편안함, 그리고 친절한 주인장까지... 휴식을 위한 모든 조건이 완벽합니다.
테라스에서 즐기는 브런치는 그 어떤 카페보다 호사스럽고
바다를 보며 즐기는 이시가키규 바비큐는 그 어떤 레스토랑보다 낭만적입니다.
소파에 앉아 푸른 바다를 멍하니 바라보고만 있어도 행복한 곳!
그 것이 우리가 폰툰에 두 번 방문한 이유입니다.
시내 근처라 쇼핑이 편리하고, 인근에 맛집도 많아서 외식을 즐기기에도 좋은 입지에 있구요...
조리,세탁,바비큐는 물론 간단한 레저도구, 보드게임까지 자유롭게 이용할 수 있어서 몸 가볍게 와도 편하게 휴가를 즐길수 있습니다.
무엇보다도 이 곳의 최대 장점은 리조트나 호텔과는 달리 '내 집과 같은 편안함' 이 있다는 것이지요. 집기의 구성이 게스트만을 위한 세팅이 아니고, 가정집 집기가 그대로 있는.. 별장같은 느낌입니다.
잠깐 머물다 가는 숙소가 아닌, 자꾸 생각나고 결국 다시 오게되는 별장과 같은 곳입니다.

Our stay at Pontoon was very comfortable, and we especially appreciated the owner’s responsiveness and hospitality. The cottage was extremely clean and loaded with amenities. There were clear instructions and travel guides within the home, written in both Japanese and English. Also the location of the cottage was very convenient - just a short drive from town and the ferry terminal. It was a perfect home base for us as we explored Ishigaki and the outer islands.

This was a perfect place for a family Christmas in Ishigaki. We felt right at home right away. The house was nicely laid out with a great sea view and so nice to have the balcony and roof spaces. It was quiet and was also close to town. We appreciated the care and attention to detail, and the friendly welcome and help during our stay. Look forward to coming back again!

· The house is excellent with both facilities and views. It provides more than everything you will need for a really comfortable and chill holiday! I definitely would pick it if coming to Ishigaki again. And the owner Ota-san is also very warm and helpful. It was such a nice staying for us.

• Der Gastgeber ist mitunter fast das Highlight der ganzen Unterkunft. Er ist sehr sehr nett, zuvorkommend und hilft mit zahlreichen Tipps und Restaurant- und Reiseempfehlungen in der Umgebung
• Die Unterkunft ist traumhaft und wir durften sie in Ruhe und ohne Lärm voll geniessen, da es ausser dem Hausbesitzer keine anderen Gäste gab. Der Ausblick direkt aufs Meer nach dem Aufstehen von der Terrasse ladet zum Verweilen ein. Man kann sowohl vom Wohnzimmer als auch ein Stockwerk höher direkt auf das Meer sehen und hat einen kleinen „Bar-Bereich“ für seinen Kaffee und Co.
• Die Sauberkeit war top! Man muss sich aber auch selbst um die Mülltrennung und das Putzen während des Aufenthaltes kümmern. Da würde ich jedem ausländischen Gast empfehlen sich vorher Artikel durchzulesen wie Japanische Mülltrennung funktioniert.
• Wir durften Schnorchelequipment von Herrn Ota ausleihen und er hat angeboten sich um die Reinigung zu kümmern
• Es gibt Essensmöglichkeiten in der Nähe für jene die mit dem Taxi/Öffis anreisen, es empfiehlt sich aber auf jeden Fall ein Mietwagen, weil Ishigaki viel zu bieten hat!
• man kann die Natur von der Terrasse aus hören

Great place with ocean view, clean and comfortable rooms. Very well equipped kitchen. Spacious. There’s a rooftop and terrace with fantastic ocean view. There are a few restaurants in walking distance. Suitable for family and group of friends. Owner is very friendly and helpful. My husband and I really enjoyed our time here. Highly recommended.
